For Netflix’s thrilling new film, Luther: The Fallen Sun, we created a campaign as dark and tense as the movie itself.
For the launch of Luther: The Fallen Sun, we designed an innovative billboard concept using blacklight and UV-ink to make a hidden message appear at night. The concept we created has been used by Netflix globally and appeared in countries like Belgium, Poland, the US and South Africa.
Luther: The Fallen Sun tells the story of a brilliant but disgraced London police detective who breaks out of prison to hunt down a sadistic serial killer. Using blacklight technology, we made this psychopath murderer appear as soon as the sun went down.
We not only made the serial killer appear at night, we also made the tagline change. The billboards show “Fear no evil” during the day, however in the darkness only “Fear evil” was visible. Creepy, right? So is the movie. Go watch it!
